Our Vision is to be Kingdom minded, and for our church to be a safe place for hurting and broken people.
We truly want you to feel the love of God, our congregation, and leaders when you walk in the doors.
Calvary Lighthouse is a church striving to become a 21st Century Apostolic Church. We are founded upon the belief that the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God.
We believe in the great commission and are endeavoring to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with love, mercy and compassion.
We believe there is only one God (Deuteronomy 6:4 ). He is the creator of heaven and earth, and of all living beings. He has revealed Himself to humanity as the Father (Creator), as the Son (Savior), and as the Holy Ghost (indwelling Spirit).
We believe in water baptism by immersion in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sin. Through baptism we identify with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ Romans 6:3-6; Colossians 2:11-14; Acts 2:38.
We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial sign of speaking in other tongues. Acts 2:4
We believe in the manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. He ministers to His people through tongues, interpretation of tongues, prophecy; words of knowledge and wisdom, discerning of spirits, faith, working of miracles, healing, helps and government. Mark 16:15-18; Acts 5:16; 2 Corinthians 12:1-11
We pray together aloud because…In the Bible we read, “They lifted up their voice to God with one accord.”-Acts 4:24
We lift our hands in praise because…In the Bible we read, “Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord.”-Psalm 134:2
We sing with all hearts because…In the Bible we read, “Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.”-Psalm 98:4
We play musical instruments because…In the Bible we read, “And all the house of Israel played before the LORD on all manner of instruments.”-II Samuel 6:5
We clap and shout unto God because…In the Bible we read, “O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.”-Psalm 47:1
We dance before the Lord because…In the bible we read, “Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.”-Psalm 150:4
We testify publicly because…In the bible we read, “I will declare thy name unto my brethren; in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.”-Psalm 22:22
We anoint with oil for divine healing because…In the Bible we read, “Is any sick among you? let him call for the elder of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.”-James 5:14
We allow the operation of the spiritual gifts because..In the Bible we read, “When ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation.”-I
Corinthians 14:26
About the Bible The Bible is the infallible Word of God and the authority for salvation and Christian living. (See II Timothy 3:15-17.)
About God There is one God, who has revealed Himself as Father; through His Son, in redemption; and as the Holy Spirit, by emanation. Jesus Christ is God manifested in flesh. He is both God and man. (See Deuteronomy 6:4; Ephesians 4:4-6; Colossians 2:9; I Timothy 3:16.)
About Sin and Salvation Everyone has sinned and needs salvation. Salvation comes by grace through faith based on the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ. (See Romans 3:23-25; 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9.)
About the Gospel The saving gospel is the good news that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. We obey the gospel (II Thessalonians 1:8; I Peter 4:17) by repentance (death to sin), water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ (burial), and the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial sign of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance (resurrection). (See I Corinthians 15:1-4; Acts 2:4, 37-39; Romans 6:3-4.)
